ISACA Remote Exam Day Checklist (CISA and CISM)
Remote-proctored ISACA exams are delivered online with a secure browser and a remote proctor. Common check-in problems reported by candidates and prep providers are avoidable with preparation.
One week before
- Use a personal computer if you can. Corporate laptops often block the secure browser or require a VPN.
- Run the system check provided with your exam booking on the same computer, network and room you will use.
- Match your ID to your registration. The name on your government ID must match your ISACA exam registration exactly.
The day before
- Disconnect from any VPN and close corporate security or monitoring software that may interfere.
- Check that antivirus will not block the secure browser installation.
- Test your internet connection; use a wired connection if possible.
- Prepare a quiet, private room with a clear desk.
On exam day
- Log in early to allow time for check-in.
- Keep your ID ready and phones out of reach.
- Remember the format: 150 questions in 4 hours, no penalty for wrong answers — answer every question.
